These Washer-type Self-Threading Nuts form their own thread on plastic, die-cast or mild steel studs. The thread-forming displaces material without producing swarf. They are removable and reusable.
The spring-locking action and the resilience of the washer provide a firm assembly but cushion the shock of tightening, so that fragile components are not broken or damaged. This minimises distortion of sheet metal or the breaking of fragile plastic or ceramic parts during assembly.
Typical applications include plastic panels, ceramic products and motor vehicles.
