Important Information
From the 1st February 2010 retailers who sell or place on the market over 32kg of portable batteries per annum will have to offer customers an in-store take-back service. Components Direct are working with BatteryBack and now offer onsite BatteryCans for waste portable batteries dropped off by customers.
All returned batteries are sorted into chemical type, bulked up and then sent on to treatment facilities for 100% recycling; recovering all base metals and plastics.
